Homeowner wanted a lake home to convert to a multi-generational home, with living space for an older parent and adult children, included 3 separate, but connected living units, each with their own kitchen, living space, bathrooms and bedrooms. Style was European farmhouse. Walnut cabinets, mahoganey doors, hardwood floors throughout, laundry room on all 3 levels, custom home office, heated driveway. Approach was to have a solid design before we started, that we could build to. We encountered more rot in the existing home than expected, and it required rebuilding 30% of the exterior walls.
